Christmas Tree Hunting

Ever since I (Angie) was little the family always went to cut down a fresh Christmas tree. Of course this tradition took a little break as we all grew up and started having families of our own. Until this year! Both of my brothers and all of our families drove up the hill and went to the tree farm that we always went to. We went down the hill looking for the perfect tree.

Carleen hitched a ride with daddy in her pack and JD walked most of the way catching a ride with mom or dad when the hill got to be too much for him.

The Tree critics are very hard to please .

Time to cut down the tree! Gigi Decided to help uncle Joe get the tree sawed down!

Uncle Mike Carried the tree all the way back up the hill all by himself, it looked like a giant tree with legs cause you couldn't see Mike at all!

With the tree trimmed (VERY close to the trunk) down it is ready to get onto the stand which JD is an EXPERT at so he helped papa and Uncle Mike.

Carleen found that hanging out with Cousin Gigi was WAY more her speed then putting trees into stands!

Now it's time to get the tree in the stand and straight! A little more to the right I think...

Of course when you see Papa Johnny you almost ALWAYS get ice cream too! Gigi made out with a Giant Berry Sunday!

Which she was more then happy to share with her Cousin!

In the end Grandma had a fresh tree with its lights and most of the decorations on it and everyone in the family was all in one place!

~Likes to chew on her hand
~Got her first "Pretty" Dress for thanksgiving

Halloween

Since I didn't get a chance before now I thought I would get the Halloween pictures up!

After the LARGE task of getting everyone dressed and maybe taking a picture (JD took one and he would not have taking one with his sister!) We were off on our great adventure! Of course living in a large apartment community you have to go into a neighborhood with houses, luckily for us that is just around the street from us! So we loaded up the stroller with sister and headed out!!

This was Carleen's first Halloween so there wasn't to much for her to do but still she was dressed up in a Skeleton outfit that glowed in the dark! She was so stinkin cute!

This is JD's 3rd Halloween and he was to little to do to much other than get pushed around in a stroller and get sympathy candy last year... so this year was fun because we taught him how to say Trick or Treat and he walked around all on his own! Dressed up like a Pirate (thanks to Papa and Grandma Camacho) he was sometimes Jake (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) or Capetian hook!

He walked from door to door from 5:00pm to about 8:30pm and by the end of the evening he was no longer saying Tick or Treat but instead it was Simply "Treat" which everyone seemed to this was SOOO CUTE!

JD also learned the word "Spooky" and the more decorated houses he would look at the stroller, put up his hand and say "No sister too spooo-key!" At the end of the night he had made out with a TON of candy (in which mom and dad had to take their "Tax" out of once he went to bed) It took quite a few days to convince JD that we couldn't knock on doors and get treats, he is over that now!

Butterflies and Cars

After being at our apartment for a full year we finally decided to decorate the kids room, that way JD could understand the difference between his side of the room and sisters side.

We got Decals for the walls (since we live in an apartment and painting the walls is a pain) Carleen got Butterflies and Flowers and JD got a cars scene. JD was VERY excited to see sisters butterflies and his cars!(Carleen's Butterflies and Flowers on the wall above her crib)

(JD's Car Scene located right above his Car bed)

Of course JD has the most awesome car bed with all of his favorite bedtime things! This Dino which is WAY to big to really be on his bed but he always puts it there before bed (thanks to Mike Taylor for Dino) Then there is his doggy "Russ", JD has really been wanting a dog but we cant have one since my property is Not pet Friendly, so JD has been treating his stuffed animal like a real dog, tells him to sit and everything! There is an elephant Pillow which is cousin Annie gave him when he was REALLY little and for whatever reason he LOVES it! The Lightening McQueen Pillow from Papa and Grandma Camacho and last but certainly not least his Blanket (aka Gee) JD takes this thing with him EVERYWHERE!!

One Month and Growing...

Carleen is one month old and she is growing like a weed! Although her hair is lightening a little she still has brown hair and there is no final verdict as to what color her eyes are going to be (but mommy is holding out for brown or hazel)

Some fun things she can do:
-Drink soy milk (non of the rest of the family enjoys it but its all she has)
-Holding her head up for 1 minute or two at a time.
-Made it to 8.5 pounds!!! (this was huge cause she was losing weight for a while)
-Has curls in her hair!!
-Slept through 1 WHOLE NIGHT!!!
-Went fro Preemie clothes to Newborn clothes (kinda she is long enough at least)

Basically she is still pretty new and doesnt do tooo much other then eat, sleep, poop and cry. We enjoy her though, and brother likes her a lot too!!
